LGBTQ+ Therapy

You deserve a space where you don't have to explain who you are.

Whether you're exploring your identity, coming out, navigating relationships, or simply looking for a therapist who understands the LGBTQ+ experience, therapy should feel like a place where you can show up authentically from day one.

Fertility & Infertility Therapy

You shouldn't have to carry this alone.

Building a family can be one of life's most meaningful experiences—and one of its most emotionally exhausting.

Whether you're navigating infertility, IVF, pregnancy loss, donor conception, or the uncertainty of what's next, therapy offers a place to process the grief, hope, disappointment, and resilience that often accompany the journey.

As humans who have built our own family through IVF, we understand that fertility journeys are deeply personal. While every story is different, you deserve support from someone who appreciates both the emotional and practical realities of family building.

Therapy can support you through:

  • Infertility

  • IVF and IUI

  • Pregnancy loss

  • Recurrent pregnancy loss

  • Secondary infertility

  • LGBTQ+ family building

  • Donor conception

  • Emotional impact of fertility treatment

  • Anxiety during treatment

  • Relationship stress

  • Deciding next steps

What is your cancellation policy?
How often do we meet for therapy?

We recommend starting with weekly sessions to build momentum and support your growth. As you reach your goals, we can gradually space sessions to every other week, then monthly, until we feel the work is complete. Our aim is not to create dependence, but to help you connect with your own inner strengths and external support systems.

We encourage meeting weekly for at least the first three months to establish a strong foundation.

We ask that you let us know at least 24-hours in advance of the need to cancel via email at: contact@storyofthingstherapy.com so that we may offer the spot to someone else and plan accordingly.

If you cancel with less than 24-hours notice you will be charged the full session fee. Please note that this fee is typically not covered by insurance if seeking reimbursement.

Are the sessions confidential?
What if it doesn't feel like a good fit?

Absolutely, maintaining confidentiality is our utmost priority. All conversations and discussions during the session(s) are kept strictly private and are never disclosed or shared with any third party without your written consent.

It’s totally okay.

Sometimes, just like in any relationship, things don’t quite click.

One of the biggest predictors of meaningful therapy is feeling a sense of connection, trust, and alignment. If it doesn’t feel like the right fit, with me or the style of therapy, I welcome an open conversation about it. This is your care, and your comfort matters most. If needed, I’m always happy to support you in finding someone who feels like a better match.
